Anna Sidana is a painter who explores the emotional coupling between her family history and her heritage. While searching for this connection with her culture, Anna stumbled upon hazy childhood memories of playing in the cotton fields at her family farm in Rajasthan, India where scent, color and light shaped her earliest experiences. Those memories became a source of inspiration and a central theme in Anna’s work. Straddling abstraction and representation, Anna seeks to balance tenderness with the weight of history, blurring imagination and memory into enchanting landscapes that invite the viewer into an entangled world where escape, reflection, and connection coexist.
