Shamir Iqtidar (b. 1999) is a visual artist based in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He received his Undergraduate degree from the National College of Arts, Rawalpindi. His work has been exhibited in various galleries including; Gallery 6, Numaish Gah, O Art Space, and Khaas Contemporary. He was awarded the Nigaah art award for emerging artists in 2024.

“If time is what causes heartache, space is where the pain yields and where it stays."

I depict figures that do not resolve—they linger, suspended in ambiguity. Like the spaces they inhabit, they remain uncertain, symbolic of a broader fragmentation: of community, of cultural memory, of meaning itself.I construct scenes that unfold within a kind of hyperreality—fragments of a dreamlike present where memory, place, and longing intertwine. These layered moments blur the boundaries between the real and the imagined, the personal and the collective.
